Hey everyone, please give me some tips on pruning this spirea plant.
Pruning should be done in the early spring and after the blooming season. Also, use clean tools and sharp scissors.
This plant is straightforward to prune:
1. Put on gloves and sharp, sterilized scissors...
2. Use sharp scissors to cut off any unhealthy or dead branches.
3. Trim a few stems that are sturdy and aged.
4. Start sculpting your plants, but avoid over-pruning them since this may cause stress and shock.
Choose the area to be clipped and avoid overpruning. Do this in late winter and early spring before new growth appears.
Just focus on pruning off spent flowers and lightly pruning stems in late winter.
